Community Service Day

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, October 17th 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

4001 N 1st Street, San Jose, CA 95134

Up to 20 ENGIE Storage employees are being offered the opportunity to volunteer for a 2-hour shift at Second Harvest’s Cypress Center on October 17th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Volunteers will help sort and prepare produce for shipment. All volunteer activities typically occur in groups and in the same room – making for a good team building experience.

Second Harvest is an upstream supplier to the organization we last served – Sacred Heart. Founded in 1974, Second Harvest is one of the largest food banks in the nation. They provide food to more than a quarter of a million people in Silicon Valley every month. More than half the people served are children and seniors. They distribute healthy food, including more fresh produce than almost any other food bank in the country, through a network of 309 nonprofit partners at 985 sites.

To sign up for this event fill out the “ENGIE Storage RSVP & Waver” form and the “Second Harvest Registration” form displayed and linked below. Lunch for volunteers will be provided and carpools arranged.
